Raptors coaching staff finalized for 2026-27 season

Darko Rajaković returns as Raptors head coach for the 2026-27 season with a finalized coaching staff.

TORONTO

– The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday that head coach Darko Rajaković has finalized his coaching staff for the 2026-27 season, with Stephen Silas joining Pat Delany and Jama Mahlalela as assistant coaches on the front bench. Matt Vest has been elevated to assistant coach, while Jeremy Castleberry returns to the Raptors staff along with Ivo Simović, Vin Bhavnani, Eric Khoury, Jim Sann and Mery Andrade. Joining Ike Azotam and Kareem Elliott as video coordinators and player development coaches are Stephane Ingo, Isiah Price and Aidan Wilson. Felecia Brown returns as Manager, Coaching Operations for her fourth season with the Raptors.

Silas

joins the Raptors after serving as head coach of USA Basketball through the 2025 and 2027 FIBA AmeriCup windows, earning an 11-3 (.786) record and a bronze medal finish last August. His coaching career in the NBA spans across 25 seasons, most recently as a lead assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons (2023-24). He previously served as head coach of the Houston Rockets (2020-23) and as an assistant coach for several organizations including two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks (2018-2020), 10 seasons with the Charlotte Hornets (2000-02, 2010-2018), four seasons with the Golden State Warriors (2006-2010), two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers (2003-05) and one season with New Orleans (2002-03). Prior to the NBA, the Boston native spent three years as the Assistant Executive Director of the National Basketball Retired Players Association.

Vest

joins the Raptors’ bench after serving three seasons (2023-26) as an assistant video coordinator and player development coach under Rajaković. Prior to the NBA, Vest spent one season (2022-23) as an assistant coach with Medi Bayreuth of Basketball Bundesliga in Germany and was also an assistant coach with the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Vests’ professional playing career includes seven seasons (2014-21) with five clubs in Germany. The Dayton, Ohio native earned a bachelor’s degree in business management at Wright State University, where he also played collegiate basketball for four seasons (2010-14).

Castleberry

returns for his second season in Toronto after joining the Championship-winning staff during the 2018-19 season. He spent the past five seasons (2019-2026) as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Clippers and spent five seasons (2013-18) within San Antonio Spurs organization prior to joining the Raptors in 2018. Castleberry began his professional career with the Austin Spurs (then the Austin Toros) of the NBA G League, before being elevated to the Spurs staff, where he worked as an assistant video coordinator. A native of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Castleberry played two seasons at San Diego State (2011-13).

Ingo

joins the Raptors’ staff after spending two seasons with the Sacramento Kings organization as an assistant video coordinator last season and as a coaching associate in 2024-25. Prior to the NBA, the Mississauga native played professionally for the Winnipeg Sea Bears of the Canadian Elite Basketball League for two seasons (2022-24) and played collegiately at Marist University during the 2022-23 season following four seasons at the University of Maine (2018-22). Price spent four seasons (2022-26) as part of the Chicago Bulls staff, where he most recently served as Coordinator, Player Development. Prior to the NBA, he served as a graduate assistant coach for two seasons (2019 2022) at Northern Kentucky. Price played collegiate basketball with Greenville University for two seasons (2017-19) while graduating with a degree in media communications. Wilson joins the Raptors staff following four seasons (2022-2026) with the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold senior men’s basketball team. The Vancouver, British Columbia native also played for the Douglas College Royals and the University of Fraser Valley Cascades before transferring to TMU.
