Report: Pelicans, forward Saddiq Bey agree to 3-year extension
The Pelicans are reportedly extending forward Saddiq Bey to a deal, ESPN’s Shams Charania relays it is for three years and $55.5 million.
Originally a Brooklyn Nets first-round selection (
No. 19, 2020 Draft
), Bey has made stops in Detroit and Atlanta on the way to New Orleans. Though he missed a full season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament, the 6-foot-8 Bey returned to average a career-high 17.7 points.
Bey missed the entire 2024-25 season after suffering a torn ACL in Atlanta and then had a resurgent comeback season last year in New Orleans, averaging a career high 17.7 points. He now locks in a fully guaranteed deal through 2029-30 with the Pelicans.
