Leeds United ranked 19th in world by Opta power rankings

Leeds United have broken into the global top 20 in Opta's world football power rankings after their rise to third in the Premier League this week.

According to Leeds Live, the Opta model rates more than 13,500 men's professional teams on a scale from zero to 100, using an Elo-based system that factors opposition quality, results and expected goals.

Leeds are unbeaten in the Premier League this season and have posted a top-six record since November last season, while a run to the FA Cup semi-finals has also boosted their standing.

Daniel Farke's side score 91.5 out of 100, which places them 19th worldwide.

The Premier League supplies 12 of the top 20, with Arsenal leading on a perfect 100, Manchester City third and Liverpool fifth.
