GET ON THE BUS! Keane slams Foden for Manchester derby antics after red card as City star trolled United fans following victory in spite of dismissal

Roy Keane has called out Phil Foden for his behaviour outside Old Trafford following the Manchester derby. Foden, 26, was shown a red card in the 23rd minute of Sunday's fiery clash for a kick on Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes, although Manchester City defied the odds to win 1-0 in controversial fashion.

Erling Haaland's strike which separated the sides should've been ruled out for offside, but the goal was allowed to stand because of a VAR error. Foden was a relieved man walking back towards City's team bus after full-time, although he took plenty of stick from United fans who standing on the Old Trafford forecourt.

In response, the midfielder made a '1-0' gesture with his hands, taunting the home supporters. Keane took umbrage with his antics when he appeared on the Stick to Football podcast earlier this week.

"Can I make a point on Foden?" the former United captain began. "Foden gets sent off at the weekend and gets left out of the England squad.

Jill Scott moved to defend Foden by saying: "But he's getting s*** isn't he? You do react." Keane wasn't having it, though, firing back: "You've just been sent off, what are you doing? Get on the bus."

Scott then argued: "You do react and he is a big City fan. I think he's being a fan as he's walking through there."

Yet on Sunday, it was Keane who was defending Foden analysing the incident which led to his sending off. At half-time, the Irishman said on Sky Sports: "He (Fernandes) goes and tackles him, gives him a little boot on the floor. He does react, obviously.

"The strange thing is... I'm guessing it's classed as violent. To me, Bruno is the one who is violent. We see violence in a different way. I don't think that's a red card.

"Did the player give the referee a chance? Foden is daft, but so is Bruno. If Bruno got sent off we would be saying he is daft. Bruno has to do better there. Foden, I don't think it's a red card."
