European giant to capitalise on Liverpool contract dispute

Alexis Mac Allister has been one of Liverpool's most important players since his arrival in 2023.

The World Cup winner played a crucial role in the team that won the Premier League just 18 months ago and was one of the Reds' best players that season.

Last campaign saw a dip in performance from the 27-year-old but this season the midfielder seems to be back to his best.

Into the final two years of his current deal, there has been plenty of talk about Mac Allister's future, and now one of Europe's biggest clubs have reportedly entered the race for his signature.

Bayern Munich want Alexis Mac Allister

Even though his contract doesn't expire until the end of next season, the 27-year-old has made it quite clear he is upset at not being offered a new deal in the summer, and this has sparked plenty of speculation that he could leave the club in the near future.

Understandably several top European clubs are interested and, according to a new report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Bayern Munich are the latest team to join the race.

The report is not the first to link Mac Allister with a move to the German Champions, with X account Topskills Sports also suggesting a January switch could be on the cards.

Fichajes' report does state that no official contact has been made, so for now the links are purely speculative, but it would make a lot of sense for the German side to be interested.

Bayern have already signed Luis Diaz from Liverpool in recent years, and they showed plenty of interest in Cody Gakpo too before the Dutchman signed an extension at Anfield.

The recruitment team in Munich clearly appreciate Liverpool's talented players, and a move for Mac Allister could be on the cards.
