Coventry City XI vs Nottingham Forest – Predicted lineup and team news

Coventry City travel to the City Ground on Saturday still searching for their first point of the season.
Frank Lampard’s side remain the only Premier League club without a goal or a point after four games, and a defeat would make them the seventh team in the competition’s history to lose all of their opening five fixtures. Coventry’s cup exit at least removes one distraction from their survival fight, though their record against Saturday’s opponents offers little encouragement, having lost four of their last five meetings.
Coventry City team news
Aurele Amenda was withdrawn after just 12 minutes of the midweek EFL Cup defeat to Aston Villa with a calf injury, and Lampard has conceded he is highly unlikely to feature. Haji Wright (thigh), Kaine Kesler-Hayden (thigh), Josh Eccles (calf) and Luke Woolfenden (knee) remain out, while Taiwo Awoniyi is suspended.
Stephen Mfuni is set to come into the back three alongside Bobby Thomas and Ethan Pinnock in Amenda’s absence. Victor Torp scored Coventry’s first goal against Premier League opposition this season with a free kick in midweek, but that is unlikely to be enough to keep him in the side ahead of Matt Grimes or Frank Onyeka, while Ellis Simms could replace teenager Sidiki Cherif up front.
Coventry City predicted lineup
Coventry City possible starting XI (3-4-2-1): Rushworth; Mfuni, Thomas, Pinnock; Van Ewijk, Grimes, Onyeka, Dasilva; Rudoni, Hamer; Simms
