Arsenal ‘to consider’ January loan for teenager Dowman

Arsenal are open to sending 16-year-old Dowman out on loan this season if it benefits his development, BBC reports.
The midfielder made history last term as the youngest scorer for Arsenal and in Premier League history. He has not featured in the league yet this season, but struck twice in the 4-2 Carabao Cup win at Ipswich.
Mikel Arteta said the club will review his situation every six months, with any decision dependent on squad needs, his minutes and their quality.
Arsenal purposely ignored early possibilities in order to keep the teenager with the first team through the summer and pre-season, while remaining open to future options. The current emphasis is on him contributing at Arsenal.
Dowman completed his GCSEs in the summer and becomes eligible for a senior loan when he turns 17 on 31 December. The winter window opens the following day, leaving scope for a move within the English Football League.
Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, now managing League One side Luton, is believed to have expressed interest in a loan for the remainder of the campaign.
