Hull City boss says Arsenal on par with PSG for playing ‘the best football’ in Europe

Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic believes Arsenal are currently playing some of the best football in Europe ahead of his side’s Premier League trip to the Emirates.

Jakirovic placed Mikel Arteta’s side alongside Paris Saint-Germain and admitted Hull face a hugely demanding task against the league leaders.

“I think, currently, they are playing maybe the best football, together with Paris Saint-Germain,” he said.

“They are playing very good. You try to make some difficulties but they will control everything.”

The Hull boss says his side will still look to be aggressive and play on the front foot, while attempting to disrupt Arsenal’s ability to create and exploit space.

“We will be aggressive, front-footed, try to close those gaps, because when you watch them, they create space by themselves,” Jakirovic said.

“They have, in open play, some mechanisms there but they are the best team in the league with their combinations.

“It will be very, very demanding.”
