Mary Earps announces birth of 'secret' baby with partner in adorable video post

Mary Earps has announced the surprise birth of a baby boy with her partner Kitty Forrest.

The former England star revealed in October 2025 that she was in a same-sex relationship. But the 33-year-old goalkeeper had never disclosed Kitty's pregnancy before letting her followers know the exciting news.

Earps, who now plays for London City Lionesses after returning from Paris Saint-Germain, received messages from former England teammates Chloe Kelly, Lucy Bronze, Alex Greenwood and Ellie Roebuck, among others after making the announcement.

"Coming back home has been the start of a new chapter, but in more ways than one," she said in a video message. "I've been keeping a little secret from you all and I don't think I can talk my way out of this one so I better show you."

In an Instagram post, she added: "I can’t quite believe I’m writing this, but yesterday Kitty and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy into the world!

"We’re absolutely over the moon and still trying to take it all in. It’s been such an emotional journey getting to this point, and we couldn’t be more excited to begin this next chapter of our lives as a family of three.

"Already a full-time footballer, and now a full-time mum too! There’s so much I’m looking forward to sharing with you all as I navigate life in football, motherhood and everything in between. I can’t wait to bring you along for the ride!

"For now, we’re soaking up every second of our little bubble. Thank you for all the love and support along the way. It means more than you know, and I’m so excited to share this new adventure with you all.

The video showed the journey the couple had been on, from pregnancy, through a gender reveal, to the birth of their baby on November 5.

Earps revealed last year that she was in a same-sex relationship ahead of the release of her autobiography. "I've always tried to keep my personal life separate from my professional one, but it would have felt inauthentic not to include something so important to me in this book," she said at the time.

"I'm in a really happy relationship. The people closest to me have always known, and I feel ready and happy to share that with everyone else now."
